Vishnu Sahasranama is another great work from Sage Vyas, the extraordinary author of Mahabharata, Puranas and various Stotras.
'Sahasra' means 'a thousand', 'nama' means 'name' and 'Sahasranam' means 'having thousand names'. Hence Vishnu Sahasranama means Lord Vishnu’s thousand names.
